Privacy and cookies

When you enquire about or make a booking: first name, surname, email, phone, dates of stay, number of guests and any requests you send us.

When you write to us through the contact form: name, email or phone and the text of the message.

Like any website, for security reasons the server records the IP address from which booking requests and messages are sent, to protect against spam.

To manage your request or booking, reply to you and contact you if anything changes: this is why you give us your data (performance of pre-contractual measures and of the accommodation contract).

To comply with the legal obligations that apply to accommodation providers, for example tax obligations.

We don’t use your data for advertising and we don’t sell it to anyone.

If you pay online, payment takes place on Stripe’s secure page (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd.). Card details are processed by Stripe and never reach us: we only receive the outcome and the amount.

This site does not use profiling cookies or analytics tools that track you. It only uses the technical cookie that keeps staff logged in to the reserved area, and the browser’s storage to remember that you’ve already seen the opening animation.

The Google map on the Contact page only loads if you request it by tapping the box: from that moment Google’s privacy policy applies.

We keep data for as long as necessary to manage your stay and correspondence, and thereafter for as long as required by law. Messages that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they are no longer needed.

You can ask at any time to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to its processing or receive it in a readable format, by writing to essenzadimirto@gmail.com. If you believe your data is not being processed correctly, you can contact the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
