Seven rooms amid a sea of myrtle, in the hills above La Caletta
Essenza di Mirto opened in 2022 in the hills between Siniscola and La Caletta, in the Baronia, on the east coast of Sardinia. It's a small rural hotel, with rooms opening onto the garden, myrtle all around and the sea in the distance.
We built it here because we love this land: the air that smells of the sea, the mountains on the horizon, the endless beaches and the traditions that live on. We wanted a place to experience Sardinia as it really is, not a postcard version of it.
Every room has its own private entrance and is named after a plant of the Mediterranean scrub. In the morning there's breakfast with local produce; in the evening, the lit garden and the silence.
